What are my benefits as a member?

Members can participate in general meetings, propose ideas and vote. They are informed about the details of projects in Switzerland and abroad. Members can not only support projects but also help to define their strategic direction.

What kind of membership is right for me?

Ali Ali Baba and You knows only one type of member and only one membership fee. If you would like to make a donation in addition to the membership fee, any amount is welcome!

How does Ali Baba and You use my contribution?

Ali Baba and You uses your annual contribution for humanistic projects in Switzerland and abroad, for example for the reception of young people in social rupture, for the assistance to the most deprived families or for educational projects.

What is the difference between annual contribution, membership fee and donation?

Ali Baba and You is grateful for every contribution. Ali Baba and You takes the legal form of an association. If you wish to support Ali Baba and You, you can pay an annual membership fee. Of course, you can also pay a higher annual fee. In that case, it is your personal annual contribution. In addition to this, you can also support Ali Baba and You or a particular project with a donation at irregular intervals. Since membership contributions are treated differently in tax terms in the various cantons, we are obliged to divide all your contributions into membership fees and free donations when you submit your annual donation certificate. Example: If you pay CHF 150, the donation certificate will mention CHF 50 as a membership contribution and CHF 100 as a donation. In all cantons you can deduct CHF 100.00 from your income tax, but the CHF 50.00 membership fee is not necessarily deductible in all cantons.

When do I receive the donation receipt for my tax return?

We automatically send you the certificate of donation for the past year by post in February.

How do I cancel my membership?

Please contact us so that we can process your request. We would of course be very disappointed if you were to renounce your membership to Ali Baba and You. Ali Baba and You needs the support of its members to carry out its important social and humanistic work.
